FullGas Racing drivers Dimitri Agathos and Lachlan Gibbons have continued their Mount Panorama improvement curve in qualifying for the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour, aboard the Nova Employment/Castrol/Whiteline/Hog’s Breath Café North Parramatta & Castle Hill Subaru WRX.
Both drivers spent time in the car during the 30-minute session, each improving their lap times by around two seconds and qualifying 31st on the grid.
“The handling was good, although the tyre pressures were a bit high so it started to go off at the end,” Agathos said.
“These are the sorts of things we’ll learn and improve for tomorrow.”
“The car is reliable and it’s been running really well, so it will be a strong endurance package,” Gibbons added.
“Any improvements from this point are going to come mostly from the drivers, but we’re both very conscious of not pushing beyond our capabilities and risking damage to the car.
“Tomorrow is a long race and we will be aiming to make it to the chequered flag without any incidents.”
The warm-up for the Bathurst 6 Hour will be held at 8:10 tomorrow, with the race starting at 11:30.
